Well, I have been using them for well over a year and can't really fault them.

Pro's

Light
Faster than Rev (def more consistant flow as well)
Use so many fewer batteries
Top notch customer service
Game timer you can't loose - no excuse for those guys who always forget!
Deflection stuff works

Con's
Older models are loud, new ones about the same as a Rev
Weight can be misleading which means you think you need to pot up before you do
Holds slightly less balls than a Rev.

I have a few so drop us a mail and I'l loan you one.

Beaker is absolutely correct but left out a couple of things--tho he may not have encountered them either.
1--some players find top loading awkward
2--one reason it actually deflects balls is plastic is harder and consequently more brittle and prone to snapping off at neck with hard use. Newest ones tho have O-rings on neck for snug fit and a bit of give when your front dives into the snake and slams the hopper on the ground.

Baca,

I think the top loading thing is just something to get used to. On a plus side it means you can load and shoot without losing half a pot's worth. But in a downside it's not as "natural" for those of us brought up on Rev's. Now, as I've used it for so long I find potting up a Rev really weird!

On the stiffness - I have broken 2 Rev's and 1 Rico at the neck so wouldn't say it was any better/worse. I have 1 rico with the orignal neck, 1 with the grooved neck and 2 with the new O-rings so a fair spread. On the plus side it's really easy to get a new shell from Rico and nearly impossible from BE.

Peace

however, the next generation broke 4 Rico's between Vegas and Chi-town and one of my fronts snapped his Rico's neck off at practice last weekend.
And in the interests of full disclosure I'm not sponsored by either. How 'bout you?:D ;)

Beaker's not sponsored by Ricochet. He decided that some X-Ball team and a round the world travelling spree was more important :D :D

true true :)

In the interests of disclosure and all that I will explain :). I bought my first Rico at Mayhem last year, used it for 6 months or so, loved it, got another. Then end of last year my old team Thunder were on a TV show and my Rico was on it. I edited a video together and Ricochet liked it so sponsored the team.

I have now left the team so aren't sponsored by them :p.

I admit you can break them, I have, but the way I have used them I just wouldn't say they are much more or less breakable than Rev's. Plus I would definitely say that the reed switch is MUCH more reliable that the Rev's eye.

They aren't perfect - granted, but overall I think they are better than Rev's (although I have yet to try a TurboRev)

Baca - are you still on for a meet up at IAO?
