Rich, here's the deal as far I am concerned, the teams who would have been eligible for various reasons were going to be Ton Tons, Russian Legion, Nexus and 3 other teams who could possibly come up with the money and could play at the top end competitively.
Now this wasn't a done deal as all teams mentioned had to actually accept the deal.
Now as Magued said, there is no way, I would put my name as team owner, to that contract, not in a million frikkin years, on top of that, I need to be assured of many things before I hand over anything like say 10 grand.
I mean, I (and the other teams) ain’t gonna be financing the whole thing when the promoters stand to gain the most with little, if no investment from them !!!
There has to be some form of agreement based on certain conditions before I get anywhere near ink to paper and I am pretty sure that most of the other eligible teams will feel the same.
Now Laurent may well negotiate a compromise arrangement from the PSP but it has to be acceptable to the teams over here, both financially and practically.
As I said in a previous post, I am going to a meeting with Sergei on Saturday night so I will have more of an idea what he wants to do then because I think his decision is pivotal to what a lot of people over here will want to do.
Chuck’s NPPL series, is also a consideration and a much needed competitive edge to the American circuit and thus the world.
I for one ain’t making my mind up for a few weeks yet, and that’s after many a consultation with other people and more importantly with my team.
I ain’t yet worked out all the dynamics, political interests, agendas and consequences of all this but give me time and I will, only then can I make any sort of assessment.
Pete
PS Rich, you were emailing me something !!!!!!
