Help!! I am eternally damned, unless you can help...

I just bought a used Tippmann M98, without a velocity screw. Since I already have a box full of screws, bolts etc. I thought I could easily replace it, but I have been struck with doubt:

Is it a standard grub screw, or does it have a special shape, eg. drillings in the screw, is it tapered, whatever?

Normally I would go look at a standard (new) Tippy in a shop, but I can't go out anywhere at the moment!

Can anyone advise me?

imperial/metric

Just an idea, but as Tippman is american, the screws are all going to be in imperial sizes (inches) rather than Metric which is becoming the standard here in europe.

The allen bolts on my cocker are the same, my metric allen keys don't fit em, I had to go deep into the bowels of my cellar to retrieve my imperial allen keys...... I took my marker with me for protection ...... :D ;)

Tippman customer service is pretty good. Email or call them and ask. If you're nice, they might send you a replacement.

The velocity screw on a 98 is a regular grub screw, it's nothing special, you could pick up a suitable replacement at a hardware store.

Imperial/metric sizes ain't a problem, cos I already re-threaded it to M6 size, and if it's just a normal screw type there's no problem in acquiring one to fit, or even putting in an Allen screw with a spring to stop it easily turning...

Thanks for the help guys!:)
