Whats the crack with speak your brains???

Ok, i have never been one to speak out of turn or to question any of the moderators decisions.

But i was just wondering why this section was called speak your brains.....when you can't speak your brains (even about paintball???)

I have recently had a thread removed which was a thank you to a team that has made the effort to come all the way over from ireland to train with us. And out of respect and thanks i posted an appreciation for them on this forum. 'SPEAK YOUR BRAINS'

I didn't promote a company, patting anyone on the back, spoke out of turn, or posted anything lewd or obscene. It was paintball related end of!

So why in the hell was it removed almost instantly?

If it was in the wrong place fair enough....move it!
But i couldn't see a damn thing wrong with it.

i think they were cutting down on the 'self thanking' tyoe threads, only applicable to those who actually attended or whatever....

btw their definition and it wouldn't really have bothered me to read a thread like that...

We had a spate of everyone and their dog thanking toute le monde et votre chat, as they say in Belgium, so we put a stop to em...dude, you can say thankyou to people direct, or by email, or by PM... you don't have to thank them via tha intraweb.

Bottomline: 'Team X wants to thanks Team Y - you guys rule' is dullsville Arizona for 99% of tha world and a waste of space.

Hey, when chicks wanna thank me for a hot night, they don't take out ads in tha LA Times...(well some do, but they are now under restraining orders).

This place is for sharing ideas, information, opinions, not mutual backslapping fests.

Like i said, and as you and Teej can recall from the past, i have never questioned your decisions, if you had a problem with my conduct on the forum, you would p.m me and an apology you would get. But this time it just seemed a tad harsh and with no reason for removal that was all. But now i know, it's the last i will say about it.

We usually do, but lately, we'd have had to spend about 8 hours a day each...y'all are clever enough to work it out for yourselves (Mak and Chris excluded, obviously... )
