In my experience Vuze (Azureus) has had issues with some private trackers.

Depending on your home/isp configuration, either can still have issues which could require manual port forwarding

To my knowledge there is no client that automatically opens ports for you as it would require for it to be capable of controlling the security settings on your firewall, and you don't want that...
