out of intrest, to those who know wat "airsoft" or "softair" is, how do you feel it compares, and more to the point, which do you prefer

Airsoft compared to taking a nap. Nap wins every time.
Airsoft compared to real combat. Airsoft much safer though plastic pellets have limited ability to defend one's country.
Airsoft compared to laser tag. Laser tag wins cause you at least know when you hit somebody.
Airsoft compared to sharp stick in the eye. Dead heat.
Airsoft compared to paintball is the same thing as inflatable girl compared to real girl.

i wil first explain that i asked this as a couple of my friends are ranting on about it, and they are annoying me. so im trying to understand what they are on about.
HOWEVER i have no intrest in playing it, as im spending enough on paintball, without even thinking of airsoft.
my main points went along the lines of :-
Paintball is more of a sport, as your out to play fun games not re-inact acts of war.
we all know the sad but true fact that some paintballers wipe. now think of the issues of playing fair when your only shoooting bbs, that leave no mark??
and from what i gathered, paintball is more established, and there is more to do (ie tourneys) with your skills.
does that spur for a greater response to my initial question??

Who was going on about it?
It is for wimps that cant take the pain of being hit with a paintball. Personally, I see it as more of a thing for just messing around. The fact that they dont leave a mark means a tourny would be totally useless, unless, the players are naked and the marshals check for red welts?
