Has anyone owned a Spyder Electra before? If so did you have the same problem as me?

My marker keeps going down when I'm at a site playing. Round my mates house, fine, no probs. But when I go to a game then it smegs up!

Yesterday I was having to pull the trigger twice to fire one shot and I had to do that slowly! So I think to myself "Hmmm must be battery trouble." I cange the battery and, wahey, she shoots normally agin, for 1 bloody game!!!! She then starts doing the same thing again! I'm using damn good duracells And the problem still persists. My mate was shooting has marker with the same batteries and he didn't have to chage it once. I had to change it after one game!!

Any ideas on whats going wrong? I think it's it solinoide (is that how you spell it?)

Cheers

Do you actually buy the batteries prior to playing or do you buy them in bluk or something like that??

A guy on our team used to get Duracell batteries really cheap 'coz he worked in an electrical outlet.

Turned out that most of them were duff. Depends on how you store them and all that. I used to keep my kit in the garage. Bit cold and damp in there, and it says on the packet to store them in a cool, dry place.

Trying buying a brand new battery from a shop, check the use by date, then pop it straight in your marker (not actually in the shop though). Maybe that will help.

Like I said, we had the same probelm when we used them in the revy's. OK for like a game or so, them they would slow up.

Maybe invest in a batery tester. I got one for about £3.00, i think.

I went to Tescos and bought a Duracell M3 brand new. I stick it in yesterday and it was firing worse than when I had a Duracell Pro in there. With the pro it was mis-firing every other shot, with the M3 it shot on the fourth trigger pull!!!

I've had it in bits and cleaned it all out, even took the bolt out and gave it a clean, but it was still the same result.

Intrestingly though it would only start playing up after i'd shot about 20 rounds ,then I need to reconect the battery and do it all over again.

Grrrrrrr, I have no idea. Are the battries supposed to last a long time or is it common to wear out a battrey as soon as you put it in?

Only use 9.6v batterys in them, the rest dont have enough voltage nor amperage.

Use the battery that should have come with it.

That failing then its more than likely the trigger switch.

Quite often the battery clip starts to fail. This would happen to revvy's, the battery clip breaks down inside and gives odd results.
If you can get a multimeter to the board end of the lead, check the voltage is steady when moving the battery and lead about. They are not expensive, and are usually easy to replace.
