shocker history
Hope this helps
98- These model years have a sight rail on the top of the gun(you could attach a sight). The serial numbers are stamed either on the back of the solenoid housing, or the right side of the gun. A double trigger frame was an additional upgrade, they came standard with single frames.
Models available- 4x4, S/F, some turbo's and S/F turbo's towards the late end of the year All are dome switch boards
Feed types_ Standard or Powerfeed
99- This year has a smooth sight rail(nowhere to mount anything) Most serial numbers are starting to be laser engraved on the right hand side of the solenoid housing. They also have disclaimer stickers on the left hand side of the solenoid housing, which later turned to laser engraved disclaimers towards the end of the production year. Most serial numbers start around the 5000 mark and work up if they are laser engraved(Models Available- 4x4, S/F, Turbo, S/F Turbo- Dome switch boards
Feed types- Standard, Powerfeed, First year for the vertical feed, evidenced by single ball detent on the right side, or no ball detent at all.
2000- What a year, half of the year was dome switch boards, the other half was the invent of the LS or lever-switch board. All serial numbers and disclaimers are laser engraved. All serial numbers are above 5000, with most 2000 LS models with serial numbers in the 20,xxx range. The LS board was characterized by and external on/off switch with LED hole on the left side of the gun, above the trigger frame, on the solenoid housing, in addition to the smooth lever switch popularized by the angel. Models- 4x4, S/F if you have a dome switch board, turbo, S/F turbo if you have a early 2000 with a dome switch board. LS boards are 4x4 or Turbo Only, there is no S/F option on these boards.
Feed Types- Standard, Powerfeed, or Vert feed with DUAL Ball Detents.
LS boards also no longer have safeties since they have an external on/off
Trigger frames change mid 2000. The triggers are now stainless in appearance and utilize a vertical trigger spring as opposed to the angled back spring of previous years.
2001- SP works to improve some appearance and functionality. The New shockers have some light milling on the body of the gun, just above the solenoid housing. Performance is said(rumored) to be a little better. Also changed the logo this model year to ((((((SHOCKER)))))) athough some where made with a jewel.
2002- The milling has changed a bit, there are now six milled "bars" in the side of the gun instead of 4. The Logo is jeweled, and there is a SP crosshairs jewel on top of the gun.
If the gun was a factory Turbo board, S/F Turbo board, or turbo LS board, it have the right side of the solenoid housing milled to accept the Viewloader control( paddle on the revy spins every time you pull the trigger and utilizes the revy's batteries) On all late 2000 models, and 2001, all solenoid housing are milled for the turbo controller, and the boards have the adapter, but it ONLY works with turbo boards.
