I can't remember the first time I used it, but I do remember the primary reason we got it installed at home was so that I could email my Dad 3,500 miles away. I still remember how exciting it was to log in and see that there was a new message waiting, back in the day that you knew the message was from a real person who took the time to write it and not a random flyer, or spam. I suppose it was the equivalent of you old biddies receiving a snail mail letter from a family member back in the day. I even backed some of them up on a floppy years ago, goodness knows where they might be now.
Oh yeah, and porn.
