A new barrel is pretty much a must for the spyder, as the stock barrel sucks. Good barrels include the j&j ceramic and Smart Parts Progressive, my 32 Degrees whisper isnt bad, i bought it second hand on the cheap.

Air is a pretty great upgrade as it keeps your velocity more consistent, and it is handy to have a spring kit just incase its too low or too high (out of the box my spyder was shooting 350).

a new barrel / air / electronic hopper are prolly the main things. Then if you are serious you can start thinking about a new gun, although spyders are pretty great for recball. I put a supa-fly delrin bolt in my spyder, which is pretty mint.

I think the victor isnt electronic, so you could get an electronic trigger (handle replacement for it) i dont know how much they are but its either smart parts or 32 degrees that do them, kingman also do the official ones, but they are pretty much all the same.

hope that gave you something to think about. :)

i had a spyder victor as my first marker and inquired about upgrades but was easily persuaded that it was pretty much pointless, a good barrel should fetch ya at least 40 quid n a revvy is gna b bout 25/30 second hand so you would be spending about 100 quid for them new, i would say save your cash, get an angel lcd or led and tht will have you set for a while, when you have some extra cash then u can upgrade tht instead as the upgrades are far more readily available

just my opinion but i no i wasted a lot of money trying to get a good barrel etc for my spyder and now have less money because of it and i could hav spent more money on my lcd:D

hope tht helps

thats true, but its good being able to shoot straight in the short term. I have started to save for a cocker for example, but i got my gun running nice because it might be a long time before i can have one.

Barrels are dirt cheap off ebay actually (as is some other stuff) but as always with ebay beware, but you can get some good deals even from the US with shipping can be cheaper than a shop in the UK.

you really want to think about the long term, get stuff that you will not need to replace like a decent pair of goggles or a decent barrel system,

air would also be a good idea

my opinion is just to save your money for a mid level gun like a smart parts impulse (basic model) its reliable and extremely upgradable-mid level up to torny grade

it costs 500 for base model and then you can spend your money on upgrading as your need increases but do get some good thermal goggles

Airs a bad idea if your playing at a site as you'll have trouble filling it at places and you need to test more. A loader is a good idea as it can be transferred. If you have a little more cash a barrel system like the freak or pipe might be worthwhile as you can trade the back and get one to match whatever gun you buy. All in all try to buy things that you can take to your next gun.

EDIT: Alternatively a cheap upgrade would be to buy Craigpil's automag! :D
