What the hell are you people doing?

No, please, don't answer as I don't really care except as it pertains to these forums. (In fact I'm sure I'm better off not knowing. )
The thing is I've noticed of late how many of you there are spending idle moments hanging about yet contributing next to nothing to the general conversation. Do you spend most of your time reading? Can most of you read? (After seeing what some of you write and how you write it I had to ask, you know I did. )
Anyway, I'm curious. No, really. What do most of you do in the forums and why do you visit them as often as you do?

And, you know, post a bit more often but no, absolutely no, text speak. (Even non-paintball related postings are okay on weekends--see sticky thread top of this forum for details.)

It can be compared, at times I should think..to Big Brother.
With BB...if you watch it, you can find yourself, sitting watching a bunch of chickens...walking around...or watching some bloke/bird...snore for an hour, before, by some miracle, you realise...and change channel...or do something else.

Is it a compulsion, to await some sort of excitement?

well i dunno, part of me thinks i might find an online womanfriend, a painty-muddy-bruised match made in p8ntballer.

then i forget it and buy random crap from the classifieds and tonight i even ventured out into my first bit of paintball politics.

i like reading a lot because not only do you get to hear everyone from all over talking about it, you get to mingle with most of the stars of paintball, my idols and definite admirations that reside amongst the members of these boards.

plus i like funny random crap such as watching the TFP run around after team killzone that one time. and others such as robbo getting all philosophical.

While we're doing this, I fancy asking this:

Why do some people still link to the forums with the ip address? I remember a while back it was the only way to work for a week or something, but how can you look at the string of numbers and not think "Hmmm, that looks slightly hard to read and not very indicative as to where it leads, might be worth puting p8ntballer-forums.com in there instead"

(probably going to get some responses from people who have to get round it at work or something, in which case naughty )

Tendring, bollocks to philosophy mate, it's the only subject I know where the more you learn, the less you realise your understanding to be.....probably the MOST infuriating subject matter of all ... let's all stick to paintball and at least that way, we may give us Brits a much needed leg up if we really want to improve and put ourselves back on the world map.
