I'm pleased to hear that some well-known American teams plan to attend most or all Millenniums this year and some of the European teams that are committed to playing NPPL.

Which teams are planning already to go? European, American or from whereva?

Steve Are you involved this year?

Steve,
Hey are still involved this year with the marshalling? I was wondering if you have heard anything about the rules involved with the markers this year. I had heard that there were possibilites of thanking on the new PSP rules for Div X-ball.
This would mean a capped rate of 15BPS.

Hi Rodney,

The Millennium board are having another meeting as I write this to finalize their plans for the season and I hope to find out by the end of this week if I'll be working with them again.

Laurent and I had several discussions at the World Cup about the marker rules and Mike Ratko, NXL commissioner, demonstrated their radar speed gun and their ballistic chrono for measuring ROF. I suggested that Millennium should go with the same rules as NXL except without full auto and he agreed but couldn't commit.

I definitely won't be involved if Millennium doesn't change the marker rules or at least get a robot (which I don't believe will stop the sophisticated cheating one iota). No way am I going to go through the blood, sweat and tears over the gun issue another season.

I sent the Mil board more detailed proposals about this and other things and I hope they let everyone know what the policy will be ASAP.

I sure hope both Entourage and Dynasty come to every event.

What's your take on what the gun rules should be? I'm sure a lot of peepz are curious.

Cheers,

Steve

Thanks for the kind words.

In Millennium's defense I must say that the rules weren't so much stupid as simply unenforceable and incredibly frustrating for everybody involved. And all the leagues who tried to hold back the tide of machine guns had the same problem.

A little sales pitch: I do believe that Millennium will be doing some progressive things this year based on a few hints I've received. We'll see at the end of this week or early next week, I hope.

Martin, (getting back to the thread topic) are the Jags going to be participating in the series this season?

'in ya face baby!'
i believe so, but our very own god (Chuck) will be informing us were and when we will be playing. we are going to HB first and Germany, so we have a foot in both camps at the very start.

from a personal point of view (not speaking on behalf of the team team - cos i aint allowed!:D) i would like to play both NPPL and MIL. but as you have pointed out earlier i just want the playing field leveled (machine gun wise!) cos i dont care how quick you are 20+bps is ridiculous, and to not have the equipment to detect it is like asking the traffic cops to stop speeding motorists with a stopwatch and a notepad!

i hope you are involved Steve, cos you were a breath of fresh air last season and your efforts were very much appreciated!
