The cheaper the paint, the less brittle it will be, and the less consistently sized and shaped. Mostly when I play, I use site paint, but when buying my own I like Draxus Blaze. All paint will be .68 caliber, that is the industry standard.
If you want to play about in the back garden, consider buying a few hundred "Re-balls" which are rubber, re-useable ammo. I use these to avoid leaving paint all over the garden when testing new mods and purchases, firing them into a rolled up duvet for easy re-ollection.

how much are reballs, they seem a considerably less messy option. also what UK sites sell them?

I do play with Elliot (Mindful Violence). Not sure where to buy re-balls, mine were a second hand purchase.

iv used the £20 paint befor, it is not as good as it sounds, i was using it today, in total i had about 20 brakes out of 2000.
although something is wrong with my Ion, so it may not have been the paints fault
