My Vote would go way of the ETEK, better build quality and wont let you down as much if at all like a MINI will..

Etek but I am slightly biased as it is the only marker I have ever owned.

This piece of kit shoots brilliant out of the box and and I always get comments how well they shoot, maintenance is a piece of pie, coupled with a star frame your on to a good winner.

A PMR09 is a good starter aswell.

But you can pick up a secondhand etek 1 or mini for half the price of a PMR 09...

Personally, a tough choice between the two. I have a teamate with a mini, which I've borrwed a couple of times. I love the light weight, and compactness, but others find them awkwardly small. Some people have had reliability issues, but ours has never missed a beat!
Etek have a better rep for build quality, and there are a lot more tweaks and upgrades available too...

i'd say go for the etek over a mini every day!!!!!!
maybe splash the extra cash and pick up a solid ego 07!!!!!!
