What marker?

I'm considering buying a marker in the future, only problem is I am a complete newB to paintball, so I have no clue what to go for. I am on an extremly restricted budget, so it's important I get value for money.

I saw the 20004 Piranah R6 (reman) was very cheap, and I was considering getting that.
OK, don't laugh, because for all i know this is a pile of junk (at that price, it's likely to be), but I just wanted to get other's opinions on it before I shelled out my hard earned (well, earned) cash.

Penzance is about as far South West as you can get in the UK, before you hit "The Lizzard" at Lands End!

Hi there!

Right...well...if you are new, and on a budget, you dont want to be spending a fortune, and you dont want to be buying brand new...period.

So....depending on how much you have, look in the classifides in here and see what you can get...right now, there is an Angel LED for £100 !!! Bargain....that is the sort of thing you want to aim for if you can. If you buy a Spyder, get an Electro. Bets place is to buy from on here...most people will help you out, and wont try and con you out of your xmas money!

Let us know what sort of budget you have etc....

this is probably the most asked question on these boards.

depends on how much you want to spend. if you have around £1000 then obviously you buy whatever you want and make the rest of us sick.

£500 something very very good but second hand. usually get a whole set for that sort of money (marker, hopper, air, maybe even a spare barrel and mask as well!) look at angels, shockers, intimidators, eblades.

£250 you can still get good markers but a little older. some angels, matrixes, impulses, cockers (mechanical), old version shockers, if you are lucky eblades..........

£100 you are fairly limited but stick with the popular ones.. spyders, infernos, tippmann 98's.

buy the best you can afford even if it means saving for a while longer. you might buy something cheap and nasty but you are going to end up changing it anyway. i think most of the guys on the boards have done it!!! i know i have. if you come across something you like the look of pm me and i will give you and honest and unbiased opinion. i have absolutely no brand loyalty whatsoever as my team don't have any sponsors, so what can shoot what we want!!!

hope this helps

Minor correction...

The 'Lizard' ain't at Lands End skeet. It's a fair way to the east. It IS however the most southerly part of mainland UK.

Here endeth the geography lesson,

you might be able to get away with an angel lcd and maybe a 3000 psi preset air tank for maybe a little less than £220 i think
