what is the best grade of aluminium to make a part from, best to anno, and best to take threads.

6061 T6 is best for anodising but not as easy to cut and get a decent finish, it is however what is used for almost all markers.
2011 (think that's correct) is easier to cut and polish but doesn't take anno very well, this is what shockers are made of and is the reason the anno can wear thin quite easily.
