Tippmann A5

Hi,

Ive recently modded an A5 for a mamber of the Death Wombles, out of the pack its an ok gun you get some good perks like a decent hopper for free,

The FIRST thing you need to do is get a Flatline barrel attached and just with that youve turned it into a deadly piece of equipment for woodland play, to start with you can shoot with a flat trajectory so you canopy cover is no longer a problem.

Next mod, E'grip with a double trigger, get the double trigger kit and replace the the E'grips normal trigger, get a spring out of a Parker pen or something thats not as strong as the one that comes with double trigger and you will be well on the way to getting 10-12bps.

The A5 is a heavy gun with all the mods so think about getting a light stock and a remote hose kit then i think you are well on the way to having a serious bit of woodland Kit.!!!!!

Last thing on the flatline dont tighten the 2 bolts around the neck if you leave them slightly loose you can whip off the barrel quicker than an angel or cocker so those broken balles in the barrel arnt as much of a problem (not to mention turned on its side the flat line can shoot round corners)

Hope this has been of some help

P.S im having problems getting A5's over 250fps on air any ideas guys

chris keep your a5 at about 250-260fps as you will just spit paint out with a flatline. the faster the balls go throught the flatline the more chance they will burst.
mine is set at 245fps and i get the distance and have not had 1 ball burst since i got it.

scrap the battery e-grip and ad the RT as they way out perform the 9v gamboy in the e-grip. yes it uses more air but you dont have the problems of water affecting the board or the battery dying mid game

me and the lads all use flatline and RT and we never have any problems apart from the low air when it turns into a self imploding mini gun but apart form that its the best rec-ball marker out there, we tend to beat the ego's with our indistructable A%'s

Have to disagree now cause on CO2 ive had 2-3 balls break at 295fps i know im running a little high but i use a solid balls and i works just nice but lowering the fps might be a good idea on air as id get the effecieny back up there.

As for the RT ive been to a few sights that wont allow it so the semi mode with a lighter spring and a self moulded trigger does the job just fine but thanks for the advise wit the air, is it possibel thought to get this thing above 250 on air anyone????

Hey Scottish, any chance you can post some pic's of your A5's?

I'm always looking for inspiration (or ideas to nick, depending on your pessimism level...)

Also Chris, what's Unreal's take on using 'scenario' markers on your walk-on days?
