There's a Timmy body for sale on EBay and i was wondering what i would need to make up a complete marker... (long cold nights drawing in and nothing better to do).

Any ideas on:
a) what i need
b) what they'll cost second hand or new

Grip Frame,
Solenoid,
Board (Tadao about £80)
Valve

Or will it work out too expensive?;)

Hhhhmmmm... Thanks. Will look into it. However, i think i want my project to have more than one braincell to rub together and seeing what your parents produced on their first attempt i think i'll pass.;)

Right from looking at the pic - its more like what arn't you going to need - from what i can see you'll need:

A bolt and boltpin
LPR Mount/Block which is a special one for the empire
LPR
Inline reg
Ram
Ram sleeve
Ram cap
2K5 Frame, board, grips Wiring harness, solenoid, LPHosing eyes etc etc
Eye covers
Cup seal and poppet etc
Barbs and detents

It will be a pricey move and i'd advise not to do it, instead buy a used one for around £400

Agreed.

Timmy's aren't like Cockers, there isn't the aftermarket support for people to build their own (unfortunately) so it's a case of hard to find stuff and high prices.

Having built a few cockers from scratch I loved it, pity it just doesn't happen much anymore...

Scars & Beaks,

Thanks guys. Thought it might end up more pricey than a complete second hand one. Not to worry.:D
