As you may have well noticed i am doing a lot of threads about what is the best of what. This is because i am completley kitting myself out now and dont want to buy something thats not worth it.

So i was wondering what is the best kit bag. Ive been looking at dye as i have heard bad things about the mid-ranged jt bags. My budget is £70. I would like a bag big enough for all the new kit im buing but not to big thats it is impossible to move as i cannot drive so walking is my only option. Thats why i like the idea of a backpack because it evens out the wait on my shoulders but they are most probably to small.
Any help?

I know you're all going to laugh at me, but the other day I picked up a great bag, fron Sainburys of all places. It has all the important attributes:

- it's pretty large - it fits marker, tank, goggles, hopper, pack, a dozen pots, barrels, spares, 2 kitchen rolls (who ever remembers to pack that, eh?) boots, clothes and lunch, with room to spare.

- it has one external pocket for essential items, and two large internal pockets for keeping stuff tidy or clean.

- it has wheels! Two chunky rubber wheels with proper steel ball bearings, on the bottom at one end of the bag, with a grab handle at the far end, or an extendable strut handle (good for when the bag is really heavy) that slides away under the base of the bag when not in use.

Cost me the princely sum of £20 (how much would you pay for all this and a set of steak knives?) and is well enough built it's not going to fall apart at a moment's notice.

so...ummm.... what's wrong with the sainsbury's bag??? sew a DYE label on it, and no-one would ever know....

I've been using the same old bog-standard hold-all for the last five years, and it has done me fine..... Sure, you need to look the nutz when you're on the field, but why fork out too much cash on something to lug yr kit around in?????

And may I just say, after taking my new Sainsbury's bag for a spin at the M25 this weekend, wheels are the nuts! I packed about twice the weight I normally lug around (woe is me, for I have no car) yet I didn't have knackered arms before even getting to the site. Will it go faster if I sew Dye badges to it?

I've used sainsburys bags, there crap. I have an adddidas sports bag and its falling apart. The reason i spend money on kit bags is cause i dont want to break the marker ive just spent loads of dosh on.
Better safe than sorry.:D

As said above the new mantis bags rock - ask those that saw them at KOTH this weekend, I belive my mate spend most of the day showing off its features instead of watching the games :)

- The big roller bag converts into a ruck sack (well has straps on the back so you can carry it as a back pack)

and they also do a ruck sack which is a smaller but should have enough space to carry most of your gear

for info on the bags www.mantisgear.com and www.p8ntonline.com have them in the UK
