Its hard to find and make a team from scratch. But dont simply rush people into a team as you will be spending a lot of time together; so make sure you have similar personalities/mental ages.

Also once you have a team then other commitments (usually work/family) become a real pain; so dont just settle on having the minimum amount of people required.

======================================

We (Rotten North), started in a similar position where 3 friends from a local area wanted to be in a team; we went to a local walkon site and met a couple of players who we met through p8nt and we formed in Nov 04 and apart from inferioir equipment compared to other teams at our level; the above problems were the ones that first threw a spanner into the works.

You have a decision to either sign up with an existing team or create your own with your friends; the former is the easiest and probably the most beneficial when it comes to playing ball, the latter IMO is more rewarding when it all goes to plan.

Depends how old you are (ie do you have an income or can you get parents to pay)?. You have to bear in mind if you have the idea of being in a tourney team tournaments are going to cost you around £100.. and thats not including clothing guns and transport... best bet is to find where local teams train and see if you can go to their training sessions to get a feel for tournament... maybe they'll let you join or make a B team for them... and it's good practice playing with guys who have a lot of tourny experience

Around my area in Somerset all the teams get together to train. This is a perfect chance to go down and meet players and get to know the sport. Thats what I did. :)
