I asked a similar question about how the guns works on PBnation and was only able to get this answer:
On a normal e-framed cocker, the solenoid takes the place of the 3 way. The Trilogy SF's, however, have a solenoid controlling a real 3-way. The extended hosing is the LPR hose to the solenoid.
