I've read somewhere that the 06 planet kit bag is lighter than the 05 planet kit bag, anyone know if this is true and if so by how much.

Its probably true, just. In fact. The random ad at the top of this page at the moment happens to be the planet covert ops kit bag "holds more, weighs less".
I imagine its actually a negligible difference in weight like the fact that the new PM6 is smaller and lighter than the old PM5... by a tiny amount...
Its just a selling point for the product to make people sell their 5 month old kit bag for a quarter of the price and buy the brand new one for the equivalent of a months rent

I dont know exact but i think its roughly half the 05 bag.
