Ok, sorry to move away from paintball for a second but hopefully this will slip under the weekend FP radar.
I finally got around to watching the documentary 'Murderball' last night and I'd have to say it's one of the best films I'll see this year. It's about the sport of Quad or Wheelchair Rugby, which if you've not seen it involves trying to get a ball across the line in a 40 pound armoured wheelchair whilst similarly equipped players try and stop you.
What really got to me about this film is that it doesn't try and present all the players as noble folk overcoming adversity with a smile; whilst some of them fall squarely into that category some of them are less fluffy and a couple are, well, dicks. It isn't a feel-good film about disabled people although watching it might just make you realise life could be worse, but instead a gripping story about athletes trying to win Olympic gold no matter what, who just happen to be in wheelchairs. It follows both present and future players from injury to victory/defeat and a couple of scenes will make you think a bit (sorry), especially when the team meet some Iraq war veterans all of whom are missing limbs and most of whom look about 14
I wouldn't normally try and put a film review on this forum but I think a lot of people would miss this film unless the word gets around, so if you see it to buy (about £7 in Asda ) then grab a copy and call me a bitch if you don't enjoy it.
You can find a trailer here;

and if that isn't enough the extras also feature a Jackass special with Knoxville and Steve-o getting their arses kicked by a bunch of guys in wheelchairs, the sport of Cattle Prod Jousting and a man in a chair landing from a height on Steve-o's balls. That should be worth seven quid on its own
