Wannabe a tech

[Half-Pint]

OK guys, i'd like to learn to be a 'real' tech, not just a sad kid that sits in his room takin bits apart and 'tweakin' them.

what i really want to know is where i can learn to do this?
are there courses i can go on?

i dont have a preference on what i'd like to tech, infact the more things i can learn to tech the better. i could be an UBER TECH!!!

WDP run a tech course, dunno about other company's, give em a call and ask!

yea if you really want to do it you'll need some money for a hotel, an angel, depends which model you want to do and some angel tools they sort ot all out for you and it is well worth it

I think wdp did run a course a while ago but i think you needed all your own kit and a stack full of cash, i think they also give preference to suppliers who want to do the course rather then joe bloggs.. Best thing to do is call them or SP.

Cocker Tech

Sadly there is no such course for the Autococker, the closest thing is a video (I ahve it on VCD) of Budd Orr taking a cocker apart, putting it back together, timing etc. Not sure where you can get one from though... If I can get hold of a CD burner I could make you a copy, drop me a PM if you are interested.

Teach yourself, i did.

Almost all markers work the same, after you have broken them into catagories, ie cocker, electropnuematic, mag, blowback. Learn how one of each works and you will be able to sort them all, dont try and learn how to fix them, it doesn't work.
