Not particularly close but Skirmish Sherwood Forest are now doing monthly walk-ons. They are about 40mins from that area.

Another one is OTE in Congleton, but that's about an hour drive for you I guess - wouldn't call it close.

there used to be Dangerzone in Shrines wood but they sold the site and the new owners are doing a complete overhaul - they may do walkons once its rebuilt but I'm waiting on an update about it.
