I recently got a letter from skirmish-billaricy, they're canceling their walk-on days due to lack of turn out.
I'm in ilford SKnight, I'm not sure I'm the kind of player you are looking for as I only intend to play once a month for fun. But thanks for the offer and it would still be interesting to know what sort of team you are putting together and what sort of paintball you will be playing. thanks

At the moment i only play once a month for fun but i am going to try and start a team so we might be able to win sponsors or money for guns etc. I like rec ball he most. Im thinking of getting a spyder shutter or a spyder flash. The only thing that annoys me about going once a month is the price of paint, i pay £5 per 100!!
But i have recently ordered from paintball online some googles and 2500 balls.Do you know if you can have rec ball teams. The name of the team i was thinking of is ESSEX BOYS.
i thought it was quite good and fitting.

Essex boys is a great name, lol. Especially if you go on one of those NvS days ! You'll have the reputation of Essex on your shoulders then..lol
I'm in the same boat, Rec ball is fun but I think you have to move on if you are going to save money and become a better player( I hope that will be the case :) ). I wonder how much money will be saved, we payed the same ( too much) 100 for 2k box of balls.
Are you sure about a spyder ? Are you going to buy new ? I think you have to be careful, what seems the cheap option will turn out to be the dearest, I've had this experience with my inferno, I bought it for 30, but with upgrades it is now 200 !! and this is just my learning gun, it is so easy to get carried away.
Not trying to tell you what to do, but we're about the same level and i bought a marker that I kind of regret doing. Wouldn`t want that to happen to you.
Waffle, waffle.. sorry about this post being so long .. have fun

I'm just replying to your other questions, I`ve seen groups with their own markers playing rec so I guess they would be classed as teams. I would be interested in playing if you get a team but I don't think you could count on me as a committed member.
I think walk on days is the way forward for me, if I find a site in Essex I`ll let you know.

ill copy it to here.

I know the spyder is not a good choice unlike an autococker or whatever but i was thinking about a tippmann98 but i have only heard bad things about them and the reviews say the spyders are ok and it is reasonably cheap. I really wish i had gone to the N vs S game , it would have been so cool, how old are you?
im thinking of getting the gun for my birthday in july, i would have about £300-£400 by then but i want to save it to buy other stuff and i would think the spyder shutter is better than an inferno, thats what i use at the moment in paintball extreme. As i said try www.paintballers-paradise.co.uk on the website there is no info about walk on days but phone and they should give you some.
