Walk On at Massive Attack North East

Massive Attack Paintball is to host its first official walk-on on Sunday February 7th. For those that don’t know the site we are an easy drive from Newcastle, Sunderland, Durham and Middlesbrough, just off the A19 and close to the A1. Our site is non woodland, as an old Strawberry field we have had to build everything from the ground up. We have 5 game zones that make for fast and intense game play.

Prices are:

£10 Green Fee
£35 per box of 2000 paintballs
£37.50 for guests which will include all equipment and a box of 1000 paintballs

Site paint only which will be Sterling Winter Formula.

The day will start with a safety talk at 10:00 with the first game starting at 10:30. The site will be open from 09:00 for you to prep your markers and kit. As this is our first walk on we will play it by ear and will be open to suggestions but the main idea is to fit in as many games as we can at a pace you are happy with. Our onsite shop will be open as usual serving food and drinks with tea and coffee free to all players.

All places must be confirmed by a £10 deposit one week before event as we need to know numbers for staffing and supplies etc. Full rules to be explained on the day, but ROF cannot exceed 10.5 BPS and velocity must be safely under 290 fps. yes, just rec scenario games all day. Our site has 5 compact fields that make for intense action. Most games will start with the opposition within site which means its action from the word go.

Thanks to everyone that played on Sunday! It was great to see new and familiar faces and thanks to Spyder and Salva from A Few Guid Men for making the journey to Massive Attack.

The number of attendees and the response was positive so we are going to look at hosting walk on events every other month. As suggested, we will look at the dates local sites are offering for their walk ons and work around them so local players aren't double booked. The structure of the day seemed to work well but we may look at tweaking a few things for next time.The fields were very wet and muddy but is to be expected given the weather we have had recently. Hopefully drier next time! If you have any feedback, good or bad let us know here so that we can make next time better again!
