Vlocity trouble

hi guys,
i have a problem with my vlocity, basically i turn it on and the drive cone will spin in the wrong direction and will do a quater turn then pause for half a second then another quater turn ect ....
ive stripped it down, cleaned it all out, cleaned the eyes and tried fresh batteries!
any ideas?

It is going through the procedure to clear a jam out?!

Do you have the standard chip in it or a Gangster or equivalent?
