To answer the thread question the VL (as in Viewloader) 3000 is a bigger than usual hopper the Shredder is a 2x9Volt hopper like the Revolution except the aggitator is different and there was no voltage regulator so it had a tendency to strip the motor gears, mine didn't and the extra battery is slung underneath this is a weak part of the design as they can get shot off..mine did and I had to get a new body....original VL's were only a single battery so the Shredder was the first version with two batterys...the Revolution was the upgraded version.
Oh and I paid £65
for my Shredder when they came out, from Bully at the Hyperball tourny, it was until the shooting incident a nice silver colour.
