VIRUS need help please.

I have picked up a virus off of the net it is called a downloader.trojan can anyone tell me how to get rid of it in laymans terms as the only sites I can find to get rid of it are all 'well tech head people'

Yes I do it is running at the mo to try and locate the virus. but when the initial warning came up it said that it would not be able to clean the virus and it has just finished and it hasnt found it.

Download that mate and run it, should solve ya prob.

if you know what the file is, if it is unimportant you can just delete it.

I use AVG free to check and clean my system, is ok most the time, sometimes i have to manually delete files.
