Virtue Shocker Board

Hi guys,

I have a little issue with my virtue board.
This is the first time I have used it for a while, I put it in, set the bps to lowest, then put ramping on.

Shot a couple but the bolt does not even move and it just makes little pst noises.

I have changed the dwell which was originally at 22 to 5, then up to 30.
On each of these dwell settings it does not change the fact that the bolt does not move but the noise does get louder around 17 as tried that too.

I have now gone back to the stock board to double check the bolt is fine and yeah it works.

Any hints guys?

Stock on a virtue is 12ms. You may need to balance the dwell against your reg to get it running smoothly.

Have you got a guage on the shocker?

I was thinking it may be like playing with the ion where you need to set dwell and rate of fire to get it working fine.

I do have a gauge.

Problem is when I set the dwell to its lowest, it makes a little 'pst' and bolt does not move, the gauge does tho (just a little). If I then up it by a few clicks the noise gets louder but still no movement from bolt.

Give the bolt a once over with lube (mix some gun oil in with sleek for a nice mixture on shockers). The bolt could be a little 'sticky' (may want to increase AFSDO)

Set dwell so you get a louder 'pst' noise (12ms should be good but I used to run my shockers higher-17ms or so)

Adjust the reg so that bolt cycles.

The bolt cycles fine with my stock shocker board, just seems to have this issue with the virtue board.

Should I still lube the bolt?

The reason behind it is previously I just used the stock board, then realised its set at 12bps so instead of fannying around with dwell and that I remembered I have a shocker virtue board that I have not fitted for a while so put then in and set bps to 10. I do not remember if this virtue board ever worked prior to setting at 10bps.
