so what do you guys think of them. i'm just choosing markers at the mo, so any advice would be appreciated.

what do you think of them compared with other markers in that price range?? also, what air system do you reccomend with them.

i play defensive mid (i.e i'm a thin back man) and play tournies, what do you think of them for that posistion.

also any upgrades needed to make them really rock??

Never actually seen one in person, but it's an open bolt version of the Excalibur basically. It's just like any other open bolt blowback electro, you be best advised to try a couple markers from that price range (Impulse, Angel LCD, etc,.) and see which one you like.

Compared directly to the impy they're:
Easier to fire quickly.
They chop less as the bolt pressure is alot lower.
They're more efficient,
Require no upgrades,
Low pressure where it counts! But not at the expence of efficiency.

what can be said that ain't already? Well lets put it this way i've own and used a Viking (and founded Alpha ;) ) for about a year . . . one of the earlest batches off the production line and the first one in the UK.

All I can say is they kick ass! I wouldn't change it for ANY other marker (except maybe an Excalibur! :D ) no other marker can compare in overall performance of a Viking.

So what makes it so good. . .

Built in LPR (bolt pressure anywhere from 50psi-72psi)
Operates at 170-200psi
WAS Equaliser board now as standard the pnuematics are faster than the Timmy (i.e. it'll cycle quicker!)
Efficient 1200 shots from a 0.8 4.5k (you'll never need more than a 1.1 4.5k .. . unless you shoot more than a case a game!)

No upgrades needed . . . this is stock, the one upgrade which will be available mid july is the SCM, a pressure compensating LPR, which keep you bolt pressure even more consistant which mean even more consistancy . . .oh yeah that another thing as stock consistancy very very good as the inline reg is the sidewinder which are about the more consistant reg on the market.

Also reliability well in the space of a year and lots of tourneys being thrown and battered, the total amount of problems and spares used . . . . 0! Extremely reliable and very rugged.

All this and there cheaper than Ir3's, Speeds, Upgraded Impy's, E-Blades, X-Mags and Timmys . . .what more could you want!

My brother bought one as a back up gun cos his angel (as most of them are) is a piece of poo and kept going wrong all the time, suffice to say the angel never gets taken out of his bag even if he bothers taking it at all!!!

I'm personally a cocker fan myself but the viking does kick ass, from the little he's let me play with it I think its phenominal, its kinda like ronseal in my opinion - it does what is says on the tin - and the tin says it fires fookin quick, operates at a super low pressure and basically rocks, it hasn't got half the useless modes/gizmo's of an angel which means there's less to go wrong.

If you couldn't be persuaded into getting an ebladed cocker get one of these little babies
