Ok the differences, firstly the biggest difference is that the Excalibur is closed bolt and uses 2 solenoids for this operation (not like the Shocker which uses one) and the Viking is open bolt, one solenoid. Also because the Excalibur is closed it also has 2 rams, one to open and close the bolt, the other to drive the hammer.
The bodies although based on the same design are milled slightly differently both internal and the bolt location. The other big difference is the Excaliburs LPR can run at a lower rate somewhere between 50-60 psi compared to the Viking at 60-72psi. So this not only reduces kick it is also even gentler on paint, but both are very gentle on paint. The Excalibur also runs are slightly lower operating pressure 150-180psi compared to the Vikings 170-200psi. Both are extremely efficient the Excalibur slightly more so, expect get about 2000 shots from a 1.1 4.5k.
Both have the same circuit board and both are programmable to unlimited ROF's, the Excalibur as its closed bolt can currently be up to 20bps this restriction is because nothing will feed it above this. Since it's closed bolt when set at 20bps it cycles in 1/20th second, also you'll need a Halo B to feed it above 15bps.
Where as the Viking can be easily set to 30.3bps without a problem (since it only shoots as fast as your pull the trigger).
Theres very little otherwise, both are as maintenance free and reliable as a marker gets. As for which one is best depends from what I've heard people who have used both tend to go for the Excalibur. But I have say the Viking performs better than any other marker in the price range!
Either one stick a Halo B on and they absolutely rip!!!
