hi all, just bought this second hand, great at feeding balls, but....

the shell and the battery cover look like they were designed by two different people and do not seem to close snugly, are there any tips / mods so your batteries dont come flying out.

also the slide for the hopper seems to just want to open at the slightest knock, i think the spring are to firm, has anybody tried pulling one of the springs off??

Best mod ive seen is the bin lid mod....

..takes a bit of explanation but best thing ive seen for one. Take a standard size black bin lid (the ones you often see outside) and prop it up above the bin. This bit gets a ittle complicated but stay with me it needs to be approx 47 Degrees gap between that and the orifice of the bin. The next thing you need to do is hold your VL Evo in your dominant hand and then lob it towards the lid.

If you do it right you'll hit the lid and it will fall in the bin....best mod ive ever seen for one :)

Ok ok sorry, best thing for keeping batteries in is electrical tape

Take it apart, remove the spring/board and replace it with this standard egg conversion=no lid pressure...
If you can't do it some people on here sell them, parts from Maplins cost about £3.OO...;)

Z board gives a slightly faster feed rate, and cutting neck down helps to get the hopper lower to gun, as standard neck length is a bit OTT. Good quality rechargable batteries save a fortune.

There was a speed feed mod available for lid - but it was DIY and a bit naff
