Having some problems with a mates new vibe, co2 was leaking out of the handle at one point, but now the gun will randomly stop firing after about 5 minutes use and wont fire again for about 3/4 minutes, even then only for 5/6 shots..

Tried adjusting the velocity but no luck.. read about the HPA and CO2 settings but not sure how to change to the CO2 setting.. only find ways of changing to the HPA settings

Any ideas?

One possible cause may be that co2 is very cold and it causing the gun to freeze up temporarily. Try and borrow a friends air bottle and see if it does the same then. If it does just invest in a air bottle as they are fairly cheap now. Alternatively you could try fitting an anti-siphon tube to your co2 tank but will not stop the effects totally.

When you say CO2/Air setting are you talking about the dwell?

To change it you need to disconnect the battery, hold down the power button and then whilst still holding the button connect the battery. When you do this it'll flash to shown which mode it is now in. For CO2 it's 1 flash, air it's 2.

As the other guys have said, if at all possible the best thing to do is get an air system. CO2 id horrible stuff.

I used to get this a lot, and it was just CO2 freezing up the internals. Air is easier on o-rings too, so it really is a worthwhile investment if you like your marker to work lol.

As always. Always get a fully qualified airsmith to carry out any work for you when talking about compressed gases of any nature.
