I bought this mask new around 4 months back and since then have played in it 3 times. Problem is i cant seem to stop it steaming up and after 5mins of playing im having to tilt my head backwards slightly to see out the bottom half of the lens. I'v just checked the lens over and there are no scratches or signs of dammage so im unsure what to try other than buying a new mask that fits a traditional double pained thermal screen. I thought when i bought the mask it stated that it was a thermal lens but later found out its just a coating.

Any ideas and advice is appreciated.

You must sweat perfusally(sp?)

Do you get gogged a lot and do you clean them ?

Paint eats at the lense so make sure its clean.....Only way it steams up is excessive sweating or poor maintenance.

Where and what do you play ?

Would really say i get gogged excessively and the mask is cleaned on the same night when i get home, stripped down to remove lens and strap and washed in warm water. As i found i was having this problem the 1st 2 time it was used i took a bottle of UVEX lens cleaner to the last event to clean the lens between games but still didnt help. I'v even stopped waring a hat incase it was my head overheating.

Just joined Warped and mainly use their site over Costford.

Cheers

No mate, it was just warm water srtaight from the tap. Well i did suspect that the UVEX might not be the best idea, but i was having this problem before i used it and thought it couldnt be any worse. I'v got the clear lens fitted.

Thats what i thought, which is why i never bothered initially but i didnt see any other option other than buying a different mask if the grill lens was gonna keep giving me this problem.

Grillz are awesome i have had three pairs, only time i got fogging is if i am out there for ages (like marshalling warped big game)This is because you get really hot and sweaty so you gotta expect a bit....Get a new lense see if it helps but mine was just a wipe with a cloth and they were all good....Do you play long games ?

No mate, usually the games are just 15-20 mins although i was at cosford for the big game warm up which were about 45 min games and had to leave the field during play to wipe the insides. To be honest i dont usually sweat that much while playing which is why i thought there may be a problem, esp as i train down my local gym 3-4 times a week and dont come away soaking.
