Very Very Sad News.
My heart goes out to Mike Mason at Skirmish Norwich. A more lovely guy you would never meet.
Many people cannot appreciate the time, work, blood and sweat that goes into building a paintball site.
Paintball is different to most other businesses, over time paintball gets into you, it's not a business, it's a way of life.
Please please, if anyone lives anywhere near Mikes site, give him a call and offer some time to help him rebuild. He's one of paintballs really good guys.

Myself and Eric (Dark Warrior) gave up time to help Steve Bull rebuild after his site was attacked. Sometimes decent people need to go out of their way to help other decent people.

Damn shame and little chance off the offenders being caught either

Police won't give a toss - the recent lame response to the riots proved that

its moments like this that we need to pull together as a community and help mike out ! i am more than happy to give my weekends up to help him clear the mess and get his life long business back on track !!

Maybe we could try to get as many ballers as we can to help out at a weekend ?????

the recent lame response to the riots proved that
Riot sentences have been multiple times more that what similar offenses would have received a week before the riots.

I am very sorry for Mike. The thought to do this damage has no explanation and no description. I am sure people will come out to help rebuild the site, and I'm sure a lot of us down south would as well, if it weren't for being so far away.

Keep us posted on how the build is going :)

I wasn't criticising the sentences that were dished out.. I'm glad an example was set

My comment was aimed at the way rioters were left to loot entire streets, while police cordoned off areas and just left them to it

Very sad to hear.

I have actually been up in that area the past week and while driving to a place in Lenwade, (not a million miles from Skirmish),
driving down a country lane, I stopped and read a number of signs that had been put up "Stop paintballing from ruining this valley"...so other than kids being a$$holes...seems ill-informed people aren't so understanding of what we do.

I have been marshaling at that site (Necton) for 5 years now and although the site has suffered a small amount of vandalism over the years, graffiti, etc but this has really knocked Mike & the marshals for six. All the gun racks, 2 customer huts, customer check-in, shop and the marshals area have all be burnt to the ground.

The site is up and running although not to full capacity, its functional, I was there last Sunday and what hit me the most was the smell, it was an acrid stench that filled the air and no matter how hard the wind blew you could still smell it.

I will forward all your best wishes on to Mike, I will try and keep people up to date with the progress of the rebuild but I'm sure all offers of help will be greatly recieved.
