Hey guys, I'm a newb here and I'm pretty much new to the world of paintball. I've played a few times already and decided to make it a regular thing so I bought my first marker and mask. I have a gazillion questions but for now these will do.

*What is so good about a vertical feed?
*How in gods name do you aim if u can't look down your gun?
*Why is there a sight rail if the feed is right in front of it?

I had only used the model 98 before this and I was horrified when I received my marker and noticed that I couldn't aim properly. I'm a bit dissapointed and I need someone to convince me that vertical is better than the normal feed.

P.S. The gun is a Piranha G3 EXT pro.

Dont Worry.

The genral idea with the vert is that you gun in weighted central, it allows slightly faster rates of fire and when snap shooting your hopper dont stick out first, all of which is good, the sight rail can be used if you keep both eyes open or you can get a thingie wassit to put the sight at 90degrees and looks round the side of your feed, you will get used to it :D

i make a point that links up from the end of my gun to the front of the barrel and imagine there is a line or laser line if you will which goes straight ahead and then fire a few shots to see where its shooting and compensate. also i rest my bottle ON my shoulder and this MAKES you look down through the feed and onto the top of your barrel

Or, I find it easier to hit things on the first shot looking down the barrel. But how can this be done with a vert. feed you say? I happen to own a vertical fed marker, and all you have to do is look down the barrel of the gun and concentrate on what you're aiming at. If I'm not mistaken, the gun will appear to split in two. Line up the space inbetween the gun and the right angle vertically, and you should be shootin' pretty accurate.

Thank you guys, I appreciate you taking the time to answer me.
Hehe, I feel better now. I'm gonna use it tomorrow for the 1st time and hopefully I'll be able to adjust myself to it. I'll tell you how it went after the game.
