aight i just bought a piranha STS 2k3 and it has a vertical feed. I want to try and make it into somewhat of a sniper gun, BUT there is a problem the vertical feed blocks any sight...how would i get around this?? do i buy a tilted sight of some kind??? is there a such thing??

Also...the vertical feed holds the hopper inside, and it doesn't quite fit, i taped a couple times to play once, IS there any kind of adapter or something that can help this?

thanks

If you don't mind altering your hopper, you can just sand it down until it fits. As for the sight, I'm not sure if anyone makes an offset sight, but a laser dot sight would work on a vert feed. You'd have the feedneck blocking vision in your power eye, but you still get the red dot and the normal vision from your other eye to line up.

its all to do with binocular vision....ie you have 2 eyes, one eye looks at the dot one looks at the target and your brain super imposes the images....summut like that anyway

It works the same way you that can take a tube of rolled up paper, hold it next to your hand, and focus your eyes so you see a hole in your hand. If you focus your eyes at the target, with one eye unobstructed and the other eye looking down a red dot sight, your mind will superimpose the red dot from your right vision onto the field from your left vision. Thats the way red dot sights always work, and putting the feed tube in the way doesn't affect that process, but it does remove what little downfield vision you had in your right eye.

Try this, put the tip of a pen, or something like it, directly in front of your power eye. Then focus on something and move your head around keeping the pen fixed in relation to your head. The tip of the pen will line up directly with whatever your looking at. This happens because your power eye will always look straight at whatever your focused at, and the weak eye will always look inward to focus your view. Thats the way red dot sights work, as long as they are in front of the power eye, your mind will superimpose the red dot on what your looking at.
