Vert Max Flo on Impulse - leak

Yes, i've read the manual.
Yes, i've been to the site where the Max Flo strip down photos are shown.

Basically it leaks out the borrom as i increase the pressure. I'm using an Angel AIR going into the Vert Max Flo. If i leave the MF adjuster cap very loose (just enough tension to feel the spring) i can only turn up the input from the Angel AIR a little way before a leak develops. To stop this i can then screw in the MF adjuster cap. Then i can increase the input pressure a bit more before it starts leaking again!!!

Basically it isn't regulating. It will balance the pressure from the Angel AIR but as soon as i turn it up it past an equilibrium it develops a leak.

Any thoughts?

sorry to ask, have u cleaned it and checked the o-rings?

Yep - cleaned and replaced a couple of o-rings... but not all. Tried with Dow33 and without Dow33. It's probably a small nick in one of the o-rings i haven't changed yet but i don't have spares for every o-ring...

the only other thing i can think of is the gold washer thing that sits in the adjuster at the bottom of the maxi, maybe that has damage

I don't think it's going to be that
