Velocity adjustment

Ok, just got my Ion and im ready to air it up but i know iv got to turn the velocity down. I know u have to turn the gun upside down and turn the black nut on the bottom of the reg anti-clockwise but another website said that i should hear a 'click' when it fully down but iv turned it down and not had this.

What should happen?

just turn it so its just under 200 psi , and thats about rite

i think it was about 280 fps on mine

It wont click, it just wont turn any furthur.
If i remember correctly, turning it anti-clockwise will make the nut go further into the reg, decreaseing the pressure.
Pressure should be 160-180psi.
Anything over 200 will damage your ion

The reg goes up to 300 max.

Im just trying to get it as low as possible so when i hook the tank up it wont go pop

Dumb Question : Will the dial on the reg move without the air being connected? (i dont know much about air pressures and regulators lol)

So i guess ill just have to turn it as much as possible, air it up then adjust it according to the dial Wow im gettin the hang of this lmao

Iv just noticed something. when i turn the black nut on the bottom of the reg, the silver nut next to it turns aswell.

Should this be happening or do i need to secure the silver nut?

No worries, it wont turn any further now, guess its closed now

The silver nut is part of the swiveling macroline fitting so its should move
The guage may show 300psi but the ion cant take anything over 200 through it without going pop.
When you gas it up, turn the velocity adjuster 1/4 of a turn at a time and then fire of a couple of shots then repeat till u get to about 160psi.
