Can someone tell me if there's a limit to how high you set your velocity adjuster? (I got a Spyder Shutter with a stealth barrel)
Does it matter how far you can shoot in either Speedball or Woodland Capture the Flag? I need to know so I don't get called out by a ref after setting it to a certain point...

Most site's only allow up to 300 fps. I have played on a couple of sites that require you to shot lower than that. The best advise is to check with the site you are at about there rules.

Yea nearly all sites have a limit of 300fps, best thing is to ask at the site and see if they have a Chronograph so you can check what your marker is running at.

I'd hope that ALL sites in the UK have a limit of at least below 300fps cos it ain't legal over here otherwise ;)
Not sure about the law over in America tho... I think in tournaments its universally 300fps max tho :)

Make sure you have a spring kit handy, cos when i had my spyder first time i couldnt chrono below 360 and had to play the first game with a rental. Luckily my mate gave me a spring and i was set to play the rest of the day with it :D. You can get them from Planeteclipse. :)

300fps isnt the legal limit with regards to Legislation...its a way above that...but, due to the nature of Markers back in the day, being prone to spiking, and the fact that it just hurts loads...300 fps was set as the agreed limit...to give plenty of margin for error, to make sure that markers stay within the law.

Right...worked it out, weighed a Paintball...results are:

For Paint weighing in at 47.6 Grains @ 300Fps =9.51 ftlb's
For Paint weighing in at 47.6 Grains @ 337Fps =12.03 ftlb's

As 12 ftlb's (foot pounds) is the legal limit for Muzzle Velocity, for an Airgun or Marker....you can see how far over you have to be.
Not that this is a huge margin, but, with todays Consistent Airsystems, it is less likely that you will get this hot, without fiddling!!:D
