This kind of follows on from a previous thread.

I'm window shopping to compensate for my lack of paintball this weekend and whilst shopping for my next marker i have noticed quite a large disparity in price for used Ego's and ETEK /2. anything from under 200 to over 300.

So i can get a handle on the current "going rate" for used Ego 06/07's and ETEK 2's can a few of you learned souls chime in?

I'm talking standard anno colours, out of the box/a few mods like cure bolts etc but nothing too far away from stock.good to mint condition.

I realise that obviously the price shifts for all sorts of reason and the answer will be a ball park figure but i'd just like an idea of the going rate for an ego/etek2 with the previously mentioned rough spec. This reduces the chances me paying over the odds or inadvertantly hitting someone with the dreaded "low ball" (horror of horrors).

Nice one.

prices

EGO06 £200 - £250
EGO07 £275 - £330
ETEK2 £200 - £260

The higher price should reflect condition , usage and upgrades.

Hope this helps.

Don't forget the amazing '05,Eclipse never made a "bad"EG0.
As repulse says prices will vary according to upgrades and unfortunately the credit crunch appears to have hit ballers.
'05's can still fetch upto £180 spec dependant.
I sold an '06 about 2 weeks ago with a cure bolt and some spares for £185~ish,but I've had very little interest in an '06 with a brand new tadao board in it @ around £200.
Don't be put off the '05's,my '05 which my son now has put's my '08 in the shade :((at the moment)it has a tadao board,UN1TEC barrels and cure bolt and that's it.
Cheap to buy, cheap up's and usually all Ego's are looked after.:D

Thanks for your advice guys,it definitely helps to know what the going rate is currently. If only there was a "kelly Blue book" for used markers.

TBH when i first started looking i was suprised and kind of shocked at the current prices of 2nd hand markers..looks like they are depreciating in value faster than cars! Crazy.

I've put in an offer on an ETEK2 in spankingly good condition and just waiting for a reply.

Hopefully i'l make the buy and be able to break it out this coming weekend.

Thanks again.

It's terrifying - I was saving for an 05 or 06 Ego, then found an Alias Timmy for the princely sum of £85! If you bought an 08 Ego when they came out, you've probably lost50% of your money already!

£85 !!! Fair play to you Kev ! Bargain at twice the price!

I've only bought one marker brand new and after seeing the prices of second hand markers,i doubt i'l be buying another brand new one for a good while.

I've just managed to bag an almost brand spanking new ETEK2 for 225,i'm chuffed to bits with that.Cant wait to take it out and play.
