US Imports??

hi im looking at buying a new marker, ive been looking on US ebay and found some awesome deals on top end markers, i have a friend in the US who i can post them to and he can sort out postage to the UK if the service is not offered...
i just need to know if markers sold in the US are the same as UK markers, ie threading for air/barrels, and if theyre produced differently for the US market?

Buying from the US may SEEM cheap, but if you get stung by the customs, it wont be worth it atall, and if you have a problem, you're going to have to send it BACK to america to get it tech'd as the UK companies wont accept it.
The threading etc is all the same, just the warrenty wont be valid over here, and with postage, and customs etc, it may just be the same as if you bought it from the UK, possibly slightly cheaper, but not by much.
Support the UK dealers, it'd be worth it in the long run
Boards etc it MAY be worth it, rare bits / accessories it MAY be worth it, but buying a gun, its more than likely not.

i dont see the problem with it but i cant be arsed to wait for it to be delivered so i just buy from uk. support the uk dealers but it isnt the worst idea buying from the usa...if you speak to a couple of shopowners they will point you in the right direction and maybe get you a racking deal

and its never fun picking up your parcel from the post office, and having to pay £187 customs charge on your cheap US import !

Not to mention the warranty only applies in the country of purchase.

IF you get stung by customs then unlucky, but I hear of loads of people doing it.

As far as im aware the guns are pretty much the same, I guess it depends on which marker your after.

Don't buy air systems from over there, you wont be allowed to use them in the UK.
