URGENT MARDI GRAS INFORMATION!!!
There has been extensive coverage in the news over the last week about the impending new aviation guidelines wich go into effect on Friday, January 18, 2002. Among these are the inspection by x-ray, animal, or physical human inspection of all luggage (checked) and the matching of bags to persons actually on the flight. It has come to our attention that the transport of either CO² or N² systems for use with all paintball guns may be prohibited by or scrutinized by the airlines. We implore you to contact your airline and get all the information you can on the transport of air systems. Contact your carrier and find out what their policy is and /or make arrangements to have air systems shipped to your hotel IF...they are not allowed. It may also be a good idea to attach a note to your system describing what it is in the event an inspector finds your air system and is unfamiliar with paintball. We stress, do not use the word "bomb" (ie; this is not a bomb) and try to refrain from the use of the word "gun", instead describing it as a marker. Federal law has always required that the systems be empty prior to travel...that is a given. Please do this as soon as possible to avoid any problems when it comes time to travel to the event and you are faced with the possibilty of being without an air system.
