I recently bought an Eclipse Cocker. This is my first cocker but i cant work the bloody thing out.
My problem is that the Bolt does not go back far enough so is preventing balls entering the chamber. What do i do?

Cheers:confused:

I dont have an eclipse but I would guess either the bolt is too long for some unknown reason or something else you havent mentioned is wrong. Have you added anything to it?

Try just pulling the bolt and backblock all the way out and look down the ball feed. Is it still blocking the hole?

does the backblock touch the body wnen cocked forward ?.how for is the backblock screwed onto the rod ?.remove anti-tamper & bolt, unscrew the block 1 turn & try again.the back block usually screws on about 4 turns.does it have a anti double ball fitted ?,if so is it seized & wont allow the bolt forward ?.hope this helps.:D

I have tried the back block touching and with a gap but does not make much difference. When i unscrewed the back block a few turns the gun would not cock. I have an anti-double ball fitted but that is ok.

with the backblock unscrewed slightly, does the bolt tip inside the feedport clear the feed hole to allow the ball to fall into the gun ?.if so when the block returns forward sholud just about touch the frame. If this is so,then the next thing would be to adjust the pin that catches the hammer to allow the gun to cock. This is what the hole it the top of the back body is for.Does this now help ?.:D :D :D :D :D

I find this incredibly intriguing. I know eclipse work and they deal in quality. I've never ever heard of this happening before with an eclipse gun of any sort. Did you get it used? Anywho, yeah, just adjust the cocking rod some, that should sort out any problems you have.
