Just about to use my DM4 for the first time after getting it 2nd hand. It's been working fine but then it didn't turn on. Had a look and the battery cable connecting to the circuit board has sheered off, the plastic and copper cable has gone through and it looks like the others are going that way as well. (See pic for which bit)

Im going training tomorrow and so really wanna use my gun before it's first tourny so I can get used to it. Does anyone have one of these parts spare? Im in Cardiff and going training tomorrow at Skirmish just south of Bristol if anyone is close I'll pop over and pick it up.

I've tried Maplin and B and Q but they had nothing.

If not I'll have to try and botch a solder job, if I can find a friend with an soldering iron!

You may find, as it looks, that the 9v connector woires are the ony two that are damaged...in which case you may be able to replace the conector...the actual plugs, are simple to insert wires in, i think.

Another thing to check, is your membrane pad,...this is the bit with the buttons on, and are always failing...if someone near you has one, try that first.

Phone Elcie at dye precision, europe and ask for a spare powe harness (comes with switch as well) and some membrane pads...dont forget to say pleas, and she will send you some.

Alternativly, i can get you an Advantage PB membrane, that is guaranteed never to fail.

Thanks for the post.

It's not the membrane, the red wire has actually snapped in the little white block that connects the power and 2 other wires to the board (by the trigger). I've thought about soldering it on as a quick fix while Tom allen is away on hols seeing as he's only round the corner.

thought someone might have a replacement but I don't think it's a standard part. I'll give Dye a call though, cheers bud.

It is a standard part mate. It coms with the switch, wired to the power connector.
If you look, on teh white plug, there will be a small tab, holding the wire in...lift it with a pin or similar, pull snapped bit out...then strip back end of red wire a touch, lift tab, pop in, drop tab...should be ok...
