We are the university barbarians, we are a team comprised of university students from across the UK and our aim is to raise the profile of university paintball,Tournament paintball in general, and allow students to play tournament paintball with other students at events such as the uk masters.
we were formed in may 2006 by James White of Aberdeen university and Ran Harrision of Birmingham university. in 2006 we managed to enter two legs of the UK masters and aim to enter many more. It is our aim this year to enter a team into every leg of the UK masters and any other tournaments we can. we also aim to conduct at least one training session per semester specifically for barbarians players.
The way the BArbarians works is as follows: Players sign up to a particular tournament advertised on our website (www.universitybarbarians.co.uk). between the players they raise the entry fee and enter the event. its that simple. players must have their own kit, and a level of experience is prefered, but not nessesary.
IN order to achive this goal we need to expand our base of players upon whom we can call. Again, a level of experience is prefered but not nessecary. we have a wide spectrum of players varying from DIV1 players to brand new players...and everyone in between.
