hi all i'm planning on setting up a website for londoners who want more info on walk on days. it'll have all the sites in or near london and most importantly it'll contain straight forward no bullcrap info on the sites these include:

-price.
-exact location poscode and so on and full address plus how to get there.
-facilities such as toilets, showers, carparks, lunch and so on.
-who to contact.
-how far away from a certain place in london (i'll figure out from where the best place to measure it to)
-and so on

so what i need now is for ppl who run these sites to contact me through the forum, so that i can get this thing going. i know that ppl out there are trying to find places to play and they have to surf all over the place to find out where these places are!! you do get sites which offer walk on days but no actual straight forward info on it!! which really pisses me off so i'd like to really make this web site where all the info can be in one site. for the benefit of all the pro, rookie, newbie players out there cheers. tell me what you ppl think. plus it'll be good for the university ppl in london to get their interests in paintball......

cheers.......

Someone has sorta beat you to it http://www.walkonzone.com/links.html
although it could do with an update and adding all the rest of the good info you are proposing. Might give you a headstart on finding fields and thier owners though . Goodonya , mate and keep us posted!
As for the "how far from a certain place in London" may I suggest my house would make an excellent reference point :D

Hi There All
I run the WalkonZone web site and have been working on it for the past two years, I’m sorry if you think the site needs updating but I have not been able to do as much as I would have liked over the past couple of months.
I would be very interested in anyone who wants to help develop the site with me.
The WalkonZone is currently the number one in Goggle and Yahoo when you search for walk on paintball.
I am looking for some moderators to help promote the forum and also admin's to help develop the web site as well.
As I have already obtained the ratings with the search engines most of the hard work has been done, so all that needs doing now is some advertising to pull more of the UK walk-ons into the site and some work on the html.
I am planning to change out the forum software as well to one that will allow the attachments to the posts.
If there you any suggestions or something you would like to see please let me know as my goal has always been to provide all the walk-on’s in the UK with all the best information.

Regards

Lee Barrell

lee...

i'd like to see exact information that applies to ppl living in the london area. in your links area there are links to sites which are situated in the US man, cmon. the most important thing i felt is that the site has to give the exact info on times, dates, prices, location, and facilities.

since i live in london, i would want the info arranged in a way which is presentable like on a calender and so on. i think that these fields have a slight idea when other fields in the london area are holding walk on days aswell, so the site could also be informative to field owners who want to decide when exactly they could hold a walk on day to prevent any clashes with other fields.

since there are roughly 4 weeks in a month, that means that there would be about 4-5 games per month for walkon day ppl. i'd take the top fields (bout 4-5) around london and arrange them in such a way that every month we get 4-5 days of paintball, in 4-5 different fields. so we'd see the same ppl plus new faces every week.

how does that sound?
