turtle cocker update!

the turtle had a little outing today and went to visit uncle jack at planet so they could all have a look see

everyone seemed impressed, still havnt set it up and shot it yet due to a couple of minor leaks which seem sorted now

big news i guess is the weigh in....jack got his scales out and we weighed the turtle and a nexus cocker (nick t's) both had angel airs on but no bottle, both have similar components, mine had a compact drop on and the nexus a standard air mount. and i have qevs on
so a pritty close match parts wise....and the result was 1679grammes to the turtle and 1678grammes to the nexus!!! cant get closer than that, so they wiegh the same!
my next plan is a lighter air system i think!

I've just noticed that, I think, the nexus doesnt actually have a front block does it? does the turtle?

We should be getting some Stiffis (53g) into stock in a couple of weeks at Powerball if you are still interested. That should help.

yeah the turtle has a front block with built in asa... ..


Matt could you get you front block milled down any to reduce the wieght? wouldn't have thought the qev's would add much wieght wise..

yeah am already looking into those, very nice
shame they are fixed bore size rather than a changeable back tho, but i might treat myself to one

the turtle can use any cocker front block, mine has a mini black magic block with built in asa....the nexus does have a kind of front block, its just built into the asa

am already working on mk2! with even more weight taken off!

heheh i even thought of a turtled nexus but i think that is taking it a 'bit' too far!
